Conference “Energy from waste – Production and the use of biogas in economy”

„Energy from waste”

That was the title of the conference in Wisła organized by MOSiR Ltd. in Zabrze on 12-13.02.2014. The key topic was “Energy from waste” – the use of biogas in economy.
The organizers of the conference were:
1. MOSiR in Zabrze – represented by the CEO Mrs. Beata Łokas-Strylska
2. Swedish-Polish Sustainable Energy Platform represented Professor Mikael Backman; Director of Swedish-Polish Sustainable Energy Platform. Polish side was represented by Magdalena Rogulska; Polish secretariat of Swedish-Polish Sustainable Energy Platform, PIMOT.
In the conference participated also Counselor of Swedish Embassy in Warsaw Mr. Józef Neterowicz who shared his experience and ideas regarding biogas with participants.
In the conference participated also CEOs’, Directors, Heads of Departments and Inspectors, biogas, fuel and power generation sector representatives.
The meeting underlined the use of organic waste in biogas plant and we also discussed different scenarios for the use of biomethane. We analyzed technology options based on the available waste for the future biogas plant in Zabrze.
